The film begins with Jolly working as an assistant to a famous lawyer, Mr. Rizvi. He is street smart and dreams of his own law chamber. One day, a widow named Hina Qasim comes to Mr. Rizvi for help with her case. She claims that her husband was killed in a fake encounter by the police. Jolly lies to Hina and tells her that Mr. Rizvi will take her case for 200,000 rupees. He takes the money from Hina and uses it to open his own law chamber. However, when Hina finds out that Jolly has lied to her, she commits suicide.
Jolly is guilt-ridden and decides to fight Hina's case himself. He goes up against the powerful advocate, Justice Rastogi (Annu Kapoor), who is representing the police officer. The case is long and difficult, but Jolly eventually wins and brings justice to Hina.
